Hey! Nick Gray here. I was supposed to finish this “About” page before launching my book, but I got totally sidetracked. Now I’m writing this on Tuesday night after watching the Carl Icahn documentary on HBO (that doc is totally sick btw).
My book is meant for people who have near-zero hosting experience. This book is for you if you want to learn how to host a great, simple, small event.
If you host a lot already, there are still some tactics you’ll learn. But my ideal reader is someone who says, “Dang. I wish I could have more friends,” or even, “I wish I could connect with a different or new group of people.”
What I’m trying to say is: My ideal reader probably doesn’t even WANT to host a party. They didn’t wake up today and say: “You know what I need? I need a book about how to host a cocktail party!”
Nobody says that. But hopefully my book will convince you that that’s exactly what you need.
Alright. I’m going to wind down and head to sleep. Shoot me an email if it is July 2022 and I haven’t updated this page yet. Thank you!
Here’s the “ABOUT THE AUTHOR” from the back of my book:
Nick Gray moved to New York City with very few friends and less-than-stellar social skills. But Nick craved new relationships and exciting opportunities. He started hosting non-traditional parties—a move that opened doors he never could have imagined.
Today, after hosting hundreds of 2-hour parties, he counts business owners, artists, and inspiring teachers among a circle of friends that helped him launch a multimillion-dollar company. Featured in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, Nick has been called a host of “culturally significant parties” by New York Magazine.
